The first line of their Wikipedia entry quotes Rolling Stone, who called these guys "David Bowie if his Berlin Trilogy was a collaboration with Kraftwerk and Faust." Now, that's a compliment if I ever heard one! While the comparison might be a tad hyperbolic, it is preferable to the terms "Blog House" and "Nu Rave" frequently bandied about by the indie cool kids (not those cool kids). As for me, I like to keep things simple, and would rather use adjectives like dance or, for the more detailed-oriented, dance-pop.
Whatever parlance you prefer, we can surely agree Midnight Jugernauts make catchy music that has a natural home on the dance floor. One listen to their debut LP Dystopia proves that fact in spades, with gems like "Into the Galaxy" (which, I will admit, does have a certain Bowie-esque quality), "Shadows" (Tangerine Dream re-imagined as house music) and "Nine Lives" (their homage to Brotherhood-era New Order) as exhibits one, two and three. But don't take my word for it...
